A violin by Michele Deconet, Venice 1760

Very fine and rare violin by this Venetian master.  This perhaps one of Deconet's finest instruments.  Very reminiscent of Georgio Seraphin, made c1760, J&A Beare certificate.  Featured in the book of Italian violin makers by Hamma, pg 198.  Scroll not original to Deconet, probably Seraphin.

"Solo quality violin, a great instrument from the Venetian master".

Price Range: £50,000+
