Jan Bartos

Jan Bartos was born in Poland.  Having graduated from the Music Academy in Poznan he worked for ten years with Eric Blot in Cremona, Italy.  He has now set up his own workshop in Paris along with the bow maker Paul Sadka.

His instruments are exact copies of Stradivari and Guarneri with very beautiful but with a slight antique finish to the varnish.  Jan's violins have been regular winners of Tone Awards at the past few Violin Society of America violin making competitions.
