Melvin Goldsmith

In 1980 Melvin Goldsmith completed his first violin at the young age of 12.

Recieving a rare and prestigious sponsership from the English Crafts Council, his work is based on a deep love and appreciation of the style, methods and materials of the classic 17th and 18th century violin makers.

Melvin’s instruments are exact copies fully antiqued and we regard him as one of the finest living makers in the world today. We try and have a violin and viola in stock at all times.
