Robert Pierce

Robert Pierce worked as a cellist in the Irish National Symphony Orchestra for 12 years before then training as a bowmaker in New York and London. Working for 10 years as a bowmaker with Pierre Guillaume in Belgium he then set up his own workshop in Brussels.

Pierces’ bows are always popular with musicians and he has twice won the best playing bow at the Manchester cello bowmaking competition.
